In the muskeg/swamp, you need to stay up top as it's too thick to push through and try to find the bottom. With these knarly looking tires, if anything, my cool factor just went up! 8)įor soft spongy bog, that's where the tracks come in. He was running 30" Mudlites, but it breaks something just about every time it is out. The Prowler followed up through it and back but had difficulty on the way back and suffered a broken axle. We high centered but were able to pull through without getting stuck. Passenger side was up about to the gas cap in the mud and I had to back up a couple of times to get through. Coming back through it in a different spot proved to be more challenging. I might could have made if I had really worked it, but I locked in the front and drove right on out. ![]() I pulled up to it yesterday with the Silverbacks in 2 wheel drive and drove about 3/4 of the way through in 2 wheel drive. I have been through it several times before with the Swamplites and it is all they can do to pull through without getting stuck, especially if I go first. This mud hole holds water year round and after 12" of rain in the last 2 1/2 weeks I knew it would be nasty. I called a buddy of mine with an Arctic Cat Prowler to come along back to a good mud hole for a test comparison. I tossed my common sense and satisfaction with my 29.5 Swamplites out the window to take a ride on the wild side and put a set of 28" Silverbacks on. ![]()
